Victoria
Between
1869 and 1876 the Franks were issued, the price for
these, black on cover £9,500 and red on
cover (1876) £17,000. The first stamps came out in 1878,
the first set being issued between 1891-1902 and
consists of 8 stamps with a mint value of £160 and £180
in used. Two high value stamps appeared in 1898 with a
portrait of Queen Victoria, the 2/6 blue is valued at
£250 in either mint or used condition, the 5/- red
is catalogued at £200 mint and £225
used.
King Edward
Vll
One set
of stamps was issued in 1904-1912 and consisits of 8
stamps with a total value of £425 in mint and £350 in
used.
King George
V
Five
sets were issued during this reign the first came
out in 1912 with 11
stamps and a total value of £850 in mint and £1,000 in
used condition. The second set was issued in 1921 with 8
stamps and a value of £130 in mint and £275 in used.
Between 1929-1936 a set of 11 stamps was issued with
penguins in the design, the £1
black/ red stamp is the rarist with a
value of £300 in mint condition and even more in used.
The Centenary set came out in 1933 with 12 stamps of
various designs with a total value of £3,000 in mint and
£4,250 in used.
King George
Vl
Two nice sets from this period, the
first came out between 1938-1950 and was made up of 18
stamps, the £1 being the highest value, the whole set is
valued at £425 in mint condition. The second set came out
in 1952 and consisits of 14 stamps, with a combined value
of £150 in mint
condition.
Queen Elizabeth
ll
Easily
the best set of this period is the 1960-1966 set of bird
stamps, the set had a total of 15 stamps with the £1
being the highest
value.
